Protein Balls

Ok so if you are anything like me (or atall normal) you are probably on the lookout for some kind of healthy sugar free guilt free treat that tastes amazing to indulge in at the end of a long day??!!

Look no further here is a recipe from a book i recently purchased by Madeleine Shaw called 'Get the Glow'.

I have tried many a healthy treat in my time and i can tell you nothing even comes close to theese protein packed, nutty chocolate balls.

They honestly taste just like chocolate and are a new favourite in our household. They are quick and easy to make with few ingredients too!

Heres how...enjoy!

Ingredients:

100g Oats

150g Almonds

50g Raw Cacao

1 tbsp Maca Powder

Pinch of salt

3 tbsp Honey

100g Almond butter

2 tbsp Coconut oil (gently heated until liquid)

Method:

Blend the oats and almonds in a food processor (i used my nutri bullet) until they resemble flour, pour into a big mixing bowl.

Add the Maca powder, Cacao powder and salt. Then mix well.

Next add the remaining wet ingredients. Coconut oil, almond butter and honey. Mix well until all the ingredients combine into a sort of large ball. (i use my hands to ensure that it is well mixed) it should look something like this...

Unmixed...

Mixed...

Ok so now we have our mixture all thats left to do is roll into around 30 individual small balls. ( just use your palms and gently roll a small amount of mixture at a time). Place the balls into a container and leave to cool in the fridge for around 2 hours.

Once the balls are cooled ni the fridge store them here and they will keep for 2 weeks

(they are lucky to last 1 week in my house!!)
