Self Motivation...

Ok so health and fitness is definatley my passion, thats why i am here writing this blog and trying to inspire people in this way.

But do i always feel motivated to eat healthy food and workout??

No not always...

I know right but before you click away and call me a hypocrite here is my explanation...

Just like everything else in life a healthy lifestyle takes dedication, if you do not dedicate yourself it will fall by the wayside.

This doesnt mean that at the end of the day when the kids are in bed my first choice would be to get to the gym...hell no sometimes all i want to do is cuddle up on the sofa and watch a film!

So what do i do at these times? How do i self motivate?

Usually if the above scenario is occuring inside my head i have a little talk to myself. I think its important to listen to the side of yourself that just wants to rest and relax as sometimes it really is whats best for our bodies.

However more often than not when im really honest with myself what i want is not to relax what i want is to feel good.

Now sometimes we fool ourselves into believeing that relaxing is the best way to feel good,in these moments we need to remember that what will really makes us feel good is being active and achieving our goals.

When it comes to achieveing our goals...its all down to ourselves. So we can choose to relax and rest but when we wake the next day will we feel one step closer to our goals? Most likely not.

Remembering the feeling you get after you complete a great workout is a good way to remind yourself why you are dragging yourself off the sofa.

Remembering that everyday we have a choice to push ourselves a little more and achieve things we never thought we would.

Thats how i self motivate...

Remember that there is no one out there that can do it for you and no one said it was always going to be easy or that you were always going to love it!!

If your hear desires it then you will find that motivation.
