Ditch the scale...

How often do you weigh yourself? How does it affect you if you dont see what you like?

Weighing yourself can be a huge dissapointment, all too often we focus all our energy on seeing the number drop down the scale. After a week of healthy eating and exercise are you really prepared to hand over your sucess and progress to a number on a scale?

I know that weighing ourselves can be a really helpful way to keep an eye on our progress but actually its really inacurate! If you want despirately to see the number get lower you could simply not eat? or dehydrate yourself? does that sound healthy?

When muscle weighs more than fat are we really doing ourselves any good by encouraging ourselves and eachother to loose weight? what if the weight we are losing is muscle?

So heres my advice...ditch the scale, there are other more effective ways of tracking your progress...

* Progress pictures

* Body measurements

* Food and Exercise log

By using these alternative methods to the scale you can focus more on all of your efforts and remember that its not about a number on a scale, its about celebrating every healthy choice you make and jumping for joy when your body transforms before your eyes.

Being healthy, fit and happy is what really matters, sometimes we will see more progress than others and transformation takes time but stick with it and remember in the meantime to love your FitCurves beacause we only ever really have this moment, so lets feel use it to feel beautuful in our skin.
